UPDATE: Locally-owned AZTV Returns to DISH Network

DISH Network has agreed to put AZTV The New Channel 7 back on their network.

Phoenix – DISH Network has agreed to put AZTV The New Channel 7 back on their network as of Tuesday, and viewers are glad to hear it. The last locally owned and operated broadcast station in Arizona had been off DISH since Feb. 1.

AZTV owner Lynn Londen says the station saw a wonderful outpouring of support from the community. The station received hundreds of calls from disappointed DISH customers wanting to know why their favorite shows were gone.

“It was gratifying to hear from so many people who watch us,” Londen said. “We live and work in the same community as our viewers. They understand that and called to tell us their passion for local. They wanted to make sure we were going back on the air.”

“We’re happy to once again be providing access to Channel 7 to all, free of charge,” Londen said.

AZTV prides itself on being free to viewers in Phoenix, Prescott and Northern Arizona on Channel 7, over the air, on cable and on satellite providers. The station airs top programs such as Family Feud, Rachael Ray, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, The Goldbergs, Seinfeld, Daily Mail TV, and more, along with locally produced shows including Arizona Daily Mix, Sandy & Friends and The Mike Broomhead Show.

AZTV is active in the community, whether leading a recent backpack drive for the Creighton Elementary School District, or helping provide Christmas for local Hometown Heroes.
