Is online shopping destroying good old fashioned stores?
We’re always glad when Michael Carlin joins us, and today on Arizona Daily Mix, he speaks with Catherine Anaya about the alarming growth rate of online shopping. It seems that the good ol’-fashioned mom-and-pop stores are disappearing more and more quickly, leaving multitudes without work and changing the way that communities function. While this is a valid concern with statistics to support it, Carlin also shares a truth which brings a sigh of relief: while shopping may be moving to the internet, it is being done so slowly that jobs will not be disappearing any time soon. For years to come, stores will still be able to operate, and when the change to shopping online is complete, it will be better for US consumers in the long run. Isn’t that a nice thing to hear on this Money Monday?
