Puffy Paint

Your kids’ will love this and you will too!

Are your kids or grandkids already asking what they’re going to be doing over the summer?? Well, even if it’s not a trip to Hawaii, I have a close second… puffy paint. This one is VERY simple. Three ingredients, easy clean-up (if you do it right) and fun!

Ingredients

  • Shaving Cream
  • Elmer’s Glue
  • Food Coloring
  • Large Ziploc bag
  • Jar
  • Spoon for mixing

Directions

Open and place a large Ziploc bag in a jar with one corner down (as you do with frosting) and spray the shaving cream and a LITTLE bit of glue and then add several drops of your food coloring and mix together. Once thoroughly mixed, zip the bag up and funnel all of the ingredients into one corner of the Ziploc. Cut the tip and make your art!

  • I have seen several blogs say to do equal parts shaving cream, equal parts glue. I tried this and it DOESN’T work. It is WAY too runny and you completely lose the “puffy” effect (not to mention, it’s an absolute mess to clean up when it’s running all over your paper and counter).
  • If you mix everything together in the bag itself, rather than in a bowl ahead of time, you save yourself SO much cleaning.
  • The jar is just there to hold the corner of the bag so it will all go in that direction.

Puff paint away!
