New Apps Pose Danger to Teens

Parents need to be aware of apps that open their children up to predators.

            If you’ve heard stories of the newest apps coming out, there is a good reason to be concerned.  Apps like SnapMaps and Yellow can be extremely dangerous for teenagers, by sharing their location with strangers and connecting with people whose identities are, more often than not, false.  With such easy platforms for predators becoming prevalent, parents need, now more than ever, to be aware and up to speed on their children’s social media activity.  Katey McPherson from the Gurian Institute joins Catherine Anaya on the Arizona Daily Mix to give parents some helpful tips on keeping children safe online.
