Explore the Pueblo Grande Museum & Archaeological Park

Pueblo Grande Museum is located on a 1,500-year-old archaeological site once inhabited by the Ancestral Sonoran Desert People. A fully accessible 2/3 mile trail takes visitors through an extraordinary archaeological site where you can see a partially excavated platform mound, a ballcourt, and centuries-old irrigation canals that are among the rare, remaining examples of Ancestral Sonoran Desert People’s exceptional architecture and engineering skills. The museum and site anchor’s Phoenix to its prehistoric roots and is the only publicly accessible ancestral village in the City of Phoenix. Learn more at
