Everything You Need to Know About WayneFest in Phoenix

The Coronado neighborhood in Phoenix has always been the home to artists, musicians and people who appreciated those who create. Around 2013, a few neighbors banded together to create “the Coronado Porch Concert” series, a progressive concert that went from house to house in the neighborhood. Local bands would perform in backyards, porches, and carports while neighbors would travel by foot, bicycle, and golf cart to each home. Created by and for neighbors, it very quickly became an event that residents marked on their calendars. As the series continued, it occurred to the organizers that the magic that was the porch concert should be shared with all of Phoenix. WayneFest was born. Ok, but who’s Wayne? Coronado has had a few famous (and infamous) neighbors, none more famous than Mr. Vegas, Wayne Newton. You know, the Danke Schoen guy (think Ferris Bueller’s Day Off). We decided to call it WayneFest to pay homage to this neighborhood’s musical past. We think Mr. Vegas would approve. For more information visit
