Making the Call
“Should I call the doc?” It’s a question many parents, grandparents and caretakers wrestle with when children get sick. National Hispanic Heritage Month
Kathy Cano-Murillo, her husband, Patrick and their friend, Emily Costello had a dream to open up a pop-up shop to celebrate Mexican American art. Social media enabled Kathy to turn this into a business that she hopes to run forever. The trio opened Mucho Mas Art Studio in 2017 to create a space that would inspire others in the Phoenix community. Today, the business is housed in a collaborative small business market with three other non-competing small businesses in Phoenix. Through the studio’s Facebook page, Kathy, Patrick, and Emily offer workshops and sell their own handmade art pieces.
