JOB OPPORTUNITIES:

KAZT-TV (Channel 7, Cable 13), Me-TV (Over the air 7.2 and Cox Cable 93), Retro Television Network and AZTV.com is looking for an individual that is motivated by direct selling to local businesses utilizing our on-air commercial time, internet and television production services.  Emphasis will be on selling segments to local direct business in our M-F 8-9:30AM Morning Scramble Live Show.

This is an opportunity for the right individual to learn the television business from the ground up however; previous sales and/or media experience is a plus.

Must be self motivated, willing to make direct calls daily and have the creativity to package our products in a bundled sale.

Ok to have other sales /  jobs on the side.

Degree preferred as is a good driving record.

Annual EEO Public File Report

The purpose of this EEO Public File Report ("Report") is to comply with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC's 2002 EEO Rule.  This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of the following station(s):  KAZT-TV, Prescott Arizona, KAZT-CA, Phoenix, Arizona and K57HX-LP, Mesa, Arizona and is required to be placed in the public inspection files of these stations, and posted on their websites, if they have websites.

The information contained in this Report covers the time period beginning June 1, 2010 to and including May 31, 2011 (the "Applicable Period").

The FCC's 2002 EEO Rule requires that this Report contain the following information:

1.      A list of all full-time vacancies filled by the Station(s) comprising the Station Employment Unit during the Applicable Period;

2.      For each such vacancy, the recruitment source(s) utilized to fill the vacancy (including, if applicable, organizations entitled to notification pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(1)(ii) of the new EEO Rule, which should be separately identified), identified by name, address, contact person and telephone number;

3.      The recruitment source that referred the hiree for each full-time vacancy during the Applicable Period;

4.      Data reflecting the total number of persons interviewed for full-time vacancies during the Applicable Period and the total number of interviewees referred by each recruitment source utilized in connection with such vacancies; and

5.      A list and brief description of the initiatives undertaken pursuant to Section 73.2080(c)(2) of the FCC rules.

Appendices 1, 2 and 3 which follow have been designed, in the aggregate, to provide the required information.  Please note that the numbers listed on Appendix 2 under the column entitled "Full-time Positions for Which This Source Was Utilized" refer to the number of the full-time job positions listed on Appendix 1.

For purposes of this Report, a vacancy was deemed "filled" not when the offer was extended but when the hiree accepted the job offer.  A person was deemed "interviewed" whether he or she was interviewed in person and/or over the telephone.

1.      Arizona Broadcaster's Association Career Fair / Co Sponsor

On April 7, 2011 KAZT Program Director Eric Cohen attended the Arizona Broadcasters Association Career Fair co-sponsored by KAZT-TV. The Fair was held at Scottsdale Community College in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mr. Cohen spoke to 127 attendees about careers in television broadcasting. Of the 127 interviews, 50 were college students representing Scottsdale CC, Glendale CC, Mesa CC, Gateway CC, Estrella Mountain CC, Northern Arizona University, Arizona State University and Collins College. 30 of the students requested information on the stations internship program.

2.      Bradshaw Mountain High School Career Day

On April 28, 2011 KAZT Station Manager Richard Howe visited Bradshaw Mountain High School in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Mr. Howe spoke to two classes; Advanced Marketing and Advanced Television Production. There were a total of 45 students in attendance who heard a presentation on the current state of the television industry and KAZT-TV in particular. There was also a discussion with students interested in continuing education with trade schools and universities within the State of Arizona. Four students requested information on the stations internship program.

KAZT Internship Program

KAZT has conducted an internship program to provide students with an opportunity to learn about our industry and to challenge them to consider further education and/or careers in the television industry. The following students have interned at KAZT during the current coverage period:
