IRVING, Texas, June 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lightbeam Health Solutions announced today that it has contracted with USMD to deploy the Lightbeam population health platform to support USMD's CMS ACO population as well as several other at-risk reimbursement programs.

USMD currently utilizes EHR systems from multiple vendors to manage its ACO, Patient-Centered Medical Home and SeniorCare patient population. The Lightbeam Health platform will aggregate data from these systems into a comprehensive enterprise-wide data warehouse and it will analyze the data to deliver actionable information directly to the point of care in order to improve outcomes and reduce costs. USMD's providers will have access to the full suite of Lightbeam solutions, including:

- Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Care Management system
- Searchlighttm risk stratification tools
- Predictive and retrospective analytics
- Physician Engagement tools

"As we expand into value-based reimbursement models, technologies that help providers render the right care at the right time are invaluable. Our decision to work with Lightbeam was influenced by Lightbeam's knowledge of our existing systems and their ability to use data from multiple sources to empower physicians with actionable information," said John House, M.D., chairman and chief executive officer of USMD Holdings.

"Leading organizations like USMD participating in shared savings and risk-based reimbursement or bonus programs need a way to engage physicians at the point of care and empower them with the information they need. We're proud to be selected as USMD's population health partner," said Jerry Shultz, Lightbeam's president.
