Global Community Think Tank Event Brings Industry Leaders to Paris, May 5 - 7
LOS ANGELES, May 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, HomeExchange President and Founder, Ed Kushins announced he will be joining an esteemed panel of speakers at this year's OuiShare Fest, the annual global collaborative economy community gathering in Paris. The three-day conference will focus on "The Age of Communities," an ideology that HomeExchange has embraced since the company's inception in 1992.
Entrepreneurs, social innovators, non-profit and business leaders, as well as grassroots activists and public officials from around the world will join forces to build upon their common vision of a collaborative society. Part of this vision for Kushins is the importance of building communities filled with trust and mutual respect that continue to drive and strengthen bonds.
"HomeExchange was founded on the principle that people want to share their world, culture, and experiences," said Kushins. "Back in 1992, it was a simple idea bred out of my hope for connecting like-minded people. Today the field has grown to include sharing cars, time, skills, goods, you name it. As with HomeExchange, these collaborative economy models are learning that personal relationships are the cornerstone for making it work, and I hope to offer insight on how we have achieved this."
The program, to be held on May 5 through May 7 at the Cabaret Sauvage in Paris, will include a variety of inspiring keynotes by speakers such as global thought leader and author Rachel Botsman, entrepreneur and author of "The Mesh," Lisa Gansky, and peer-to-peer theorist Michel Bauwens. Attendees will also have a chance to sit-in on informative workshops, art performances, and participative formats on topics such as the sharing economy, co-working, crowdfunding, fab labs, and sharing cities.
