Accelerator to begin taking applications February 18th, 2013
Jeffersonville, Indiana (PRWEB) February 06, 2013
Tony Schy, Managing Director of VelocitySI, unveiled the organizations brand identity and website (http://www.velocitysi.org) today, marking the official announcement that efforts are now underway to begin accepting applications for the Summer 2013 accelerator program.
“With the debut of our official brand identity,” stated Schy, “we are very excited to have a web presence so entrepreneurs, sponsors and mentors can see what is happening in the accelerator program.”
While there are still areas of the website where information is still being gathered, the site does offer information about the accelerator and the criteria that entrepreneurs will need to complete in order to be considered for the program.
The first class of VelocitySI will begin in June of this year and will provide five companies with intense mentoring from top businesses and entrepreneurs, programming built upon the lean startup framework, collaborative co-working space, and $20,000 in seed capital.
“All five companies will have the opportunity to stay in co-working space, which will be located at the VelocitySI Entrepreneurial Center, for an extended period of time after completion of the program. Companies will also present their business models to the business community, including mentors, investors and sponsors, and have the chance to attract additional capital to see their ideas and efforts flourish.” said Schy.
Potential candidates can begin applying for one of the five positions on February 18th.
