AZTV7/Cable 13 has switched to all-digital broadcasting in the Phoenix area on Channel 7.1, providing a crystal-clear signal not possible with analog (non-digital) technology.
Channel 27 has left the air forever. This was necessary to replace the analog transmitter with a new state-of-the art digital transmitter.

Converter boxes are available at retailers including Best Buy, KMart, RadioShack, Sam's Club, Sears, Target, True Value Hardware, Wal-Mart and many independent stores. List prices are expected to start at about $50, but the United States Government is issuing coupons worth a $40 discount at approved retailers. You can apply for the coupons one of the following ways:
All analog TV stations must make this switch by February 17, 2009. AZTV is making the move 13 months early because of interference from a competitor's adjacent digital channel, which has made our analog Channel 27 signal substandard. Switching to digital will remove the interference and provide the best possible service to our viewing area.
Whichever choice you make (a new TV, cable, satellite or a converter box), we're certain you'll agree that digital provides a far superior picture and sound. And we're sure you'll enjoy not only AZTV on Channel 7.1, but our new RTN 7.2 with a lineup of dozens of television's most beloved classic shows.
