You need to be sure that anything you even come close to signing is exactly what it's cracked up to be. That goes double for anything of a joint financial nature. For the most part, you'll do just fine with any agreement. But if a deal comes along that just doesn't smell right -- even if it sounds ultra-sweet -- go with your gut. Check it out with someone you trust who knows what they're doing.
